HEALTH VISITORS Telephone 545720

The health visitors are specialist nurses who provide advice on healthcare to all age groups, particularly expectant mothers, babies and young children, the elderly and those who are chronically ill or disabled.

DISTRICT NURSES Telephone 545290

The District Nurses care for patients in their own homes when they are too ill or frail to attend surgery. They also offer support to families and carers.

HEALTH VISITOR TO THE ELDERLY Telephone 506389

Cath Witherow is a community nurse who offers health advice and education to people over 60 years, promoting independence and the prevention of illness.

COMMUNITY MIDWIFE

The midwife provides antenatal care. One member of the midwifery team is attached to the surgery on a rotational basis.

COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRIC NURSE (CPN)

A team of CPNs is based at Millview Hospital. The CPNs are available to visit people with mental health problems at home, by arrangement with their psychiatrist or GP.

COUNSELLOR

Therese Paterson
A counselling service is offered to patients of the practice and your GP will refer you to Therese for counselling if appropriate.

Practice MANAGER
   
Ruth Field, Practice Manager Mrs Ruth Field is the practice manager and she is available to help with any questions, suggestions or complaints you may have about the surgery.

We also have an experienced team of support staff including nine receptionists, three secretaries, an administrator and several clerical staff.
