| APPOINTMENTS |
The doctors and nurses at this surgery work to an appointment system. You can make an appointment by telephoning 555401 or by calling into the practice during our opening hours. Our aim is to offer you an appointment on the same day but you can book up to 4 weeks ahead. If you need an extra long appointment, please tell the receptionist when booking, so that you can be allocated the time necessary. If you no longer need your appointment please telephone and cancel so that the appointment may be offered to another patient.
We offer additional pre-booked GP appointments on:
Monday evenings 6.30 - 7.30pm when a practice nurse is also available for pre-booked appointments.
Saturday mornings 8.30 - 10.00am.
The surgery phone lines and doors are closed during the extended period. If you need to cancel an appointment for one of these extended hours surgeries please telephone to cancel within office hours or cancel via our on-line booking service 24/7 (you must be registered for this service).
Access to the surgery during these times is for patients with appointments only and emergencies should be referred to the out of hours emergency service on 0845 4647 as usual. Emergencies should be referred to the out of hours emergency service on 0845 456 5420 (South East Health) or NHS Direct on 0845 4647. Appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance subject to availability. The doctors hope the additional hours will assist patients who find it difficult to attend appointments during the working day.
A doctor is available every day to talk to you on the telephone if you need advice on a health problem. If a doctor is not immediately available you will be asked to leave your telephone number and they will call you back. It is helpful for the receptionist to know the subject of the call so that relevant records can be made available to the doctor. If you wish to speak personally to a doctor, please telephone before or after morning surgery. Unfortunately we cannot telephone mobile or landlines outside the UK.
